We took Grand kids for 3 day trip. The pool is great except for one thing; the grounds around it are terrible. From the back side there is no entry except through red dirt. The sites are good but someone had the bright idea to put a curb on one side where the sewer was placed. A curbed site is not an ideal situation for a motorhome. Also, they installed flagstone for a very small area as you step out your door. No patio, and a newly planted tree with no other landscaping, dirt and weeds. It appears a non-camper may have done a good bit of the design. The staff is exceptional, some of the best. The campground is very convenient to Animal Safari and Callaway Gardens, but overpriced at $50. Although the RV park information says no 50 amp there are many 50 amp sites.

Reservations made 1 year in advance, with sites confirmed in writing. Three coaches traveling together, none were in confirmed locations; with one by dumpsters and ditch. After speaking with others in park, they faced the same problems. It's my opinion that some of the practices could border on fraud or exploitation. Most are older folks tired of the battles and accept what they get. Also, a coach running a shade business was parked next to us, pulling out machine and sewing in the late afternoons within 10-12' from our pad, with no foliage or barrier of any kind. This tended to ruin happy hour. One cottage owner also brought his large dog to the coach area to do his business and did not clean up after him. The only positive was that the people within the park were friendly. We would never stay in this park again. We stayed two weeks, with our friends in two other motorhomes staying six weeks.

What a pleasant surprise. The quietest campground we have ever stayed in. Every site had fire pit, level lots and friendly folks. We were traveling with three other big rigs and stayed three nights. We all would definitely stay here again

We made reservations in early April 2008 for four rigs, two (2) 40' and two (2) 43'. We received confirmation for full hookups 50 amp., sewer, etc. Not only cannot this campground handle big rigs (43') our confirmed full hookups were not available when we arrived. Profanity was also thrown our way by an angry camper because "we had no business there in rigs that large." Our money was returned, we went five miles down the road to Pine Ridge Campground in Birch Run, Mi which was beautiful and with ample room for our rigs, with a rate of $34.

We really enjoyed this campground. We traveled with three other big rigs. In order for all of our rigs to have full hookups we were off the waterfront; however, we had a short walk to the water that had a wonderful view. Overall the park is very well kept. The sites we were on could have used some attention to the foliage. We stayed here three nights and would definitely stay here again.

We loved this campground. We traveled with three other big rigs. The sites were not crowded. Two of us were riverside, the other two still had great views. We watched U.S. and Canadian ships go by as well as the local boat ramp traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the activity and the very friendly people. The only reason I gave this a 9 and not a 10 is because there was no sewer and we did not have 50amp, although some sites did; I would not let this deter me of staying here again, I did not want to leave this time and would look forward to coming here again. We stayed 4 nights.

Camped with group of RV'ers. The park itself is well kept; however, it has the feel of a mobile home park in that there appears to be a great number of permanent residents. The restrooms for the clubhouse are located outside of the building with coded locks. Very poor lighting around club house to restrooms, giving a sense of uneasiness. We would not stay here again.

Only thing we found nice was the proximity to the Biltmore House. We were in a pull-thru facing a public road outside of the park itself. Very noisy because you are in between two interstates. We felt this park was grossly over priced.

When we first drove up to the entrance we thought we had really made a mistake going to this park. It would be wonderful if the owners cleaned up the front gate area. There are campers in need of repair and/or upkeep greeting you as you enter. These appeared to be permanent residents. However, after getting into the park it is quite pleasant with great waterfront views and friendly staff and campers. Would not mind staying here several days.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The campground was immaculate, and in a pretty setting - very quite and restful. Stayed overnight in a 40 foot motorhome. Easy access from interstate as well as easy access in, around and out of campground. Would definitely stay here again.
